Ford claims another trophy in the pickup wars with its 48-gallon fuel tank added to 2017 Super Duty! In both diesel and gasoline engines, the new reservoir is 22 percent larger than 2016 diesel trucks and 37 percent more spacious than the outgoing gasoline tank.
Go further with the all-new 2017 Ford Super Duty 48-gallon (181-litre) fuel tank on long-box Crew Cab Configurations in both diesel and gasoline applications. Now you can spend more productive time on the road and less time at the pump. Super Duty marketing manager Brian Rathsburg says, “We want to give our customers a more productive tool for getting the most out of their trucks.
The new 181-Litre fuel tank is the largest available in the heavy-duty pickup truck segment that promises to deliver better range. Plus, Power Stroke-equipped trucks have an upgraded diesel exhaust fluid tank, up from 5 gallons to 7.5 for 2017.
Along with improved fuel economy as a result of light-weighting through the use of high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy, the all-new 2017 Super Duty‘s range increases significantly. A new and improved fuel filter and water separator filter also allow for longer change intervals to minimize time and money spent on maintenance.
