What’s new with the 2021 Ford Bronco?

2021 Ford Bronco specifications and projected Canadian release date

The 2010’s decade has seen a resurgence of old trends resurfacing in the public eye, most notably a new-found interest in large, capable SUVs coming back to the forefront of the North American automotive market. Back in the day, Ford’s Bronco line was one of the most famous (or infamous, to some) vehicles out there, simply due to its profound power and influence over all other competitors. We’ll soon be seeing it make its grand re-entrance in Canada, so join Sherwood Ford today as we show you all that we know about the 2021 Ford Bronco specifications and projected Canadian release date!

2021 Ford Bronco probable engine performance and drivetrain features

Early reports about the 2021 Bronco’s engine are promising to say the least. It’s projected to be what Ford describes as a “midsize, off-road capable 4×4” sport utility vehicle, which will be based on the platform that houses the all-new 2019 Ranger. Because of this, it’s likely that the Bronco will feature a 2.3-litre turbo four-cylinder engine, whose power will be harnessed through a 10-speed automatic transmission.

There are also talks about the 2021 Bronco offering both a hybrid drivetrain system and 7-speed manual transmission, both of which should be a wonder for off-road enthusiasts that are also looking for more environmentally-friendly performance.

2021 Ford Bronco exterior design features

Based off teaser images and confirmations from Ford executives, there’s a good chance that the 2021 Bronco will be available in two-door and/or four-door configuration, with design cues that bring back memories of the old Bronco’s body – notably, a full-size rear-mounted spare tire, muscular chassis, and flat, old-school grille. There will also be a removable roof with the 2021 Bronco, which is sure to be a hit for those summer adventures.
