2021 Ford Escape Hybrid and Plugin Electric Vehicle Pricing

Ford has revealed pricing for the 2021 Ford Escape Hybrid and PHEV, or plug-in hybrid. Customers will wait a little longer for its arrival as the Blue Oval plans to begin production in January 2021 with shipments to dealerships in the spring. 



How fuel efficient is the 2021 Escape PHEV?

The Ford Escape PHEV achieves incredible fuel efficiency while offering drivers a vehicle that’s also friendly to the environment.  

Escape PHEV is rated at 2.3Le/100km, or 100 MPGe. The 14.4-kWh battery-only range is rated at least 48 kilometers in Canada.  Charging times on a household 110-volt Level 1 charger, a full charge will require between 10 and 11 hours. Using a 240-volt Level 2 charger, charge time drops to roughly 3.5 hours.

Canadian pricing starts at $32,749 for the SE HyBrid,  $34,249 for the SEL, and $37,69 for the Titanium.  Destination and delivery adds $1,900.

Hybrid models feature four modes that allow customers to select the setting most suitable for their individual needs. This means:

  • In Auto EV mode, the vehicle decides whether to run on gas or electric power
  • In EV Now mode, drivers can operate on all-electric power
  • In EV Later mode, drivers can switch to full gas-hybrid driving to conserve electric miles for later
  • In all-new EV Charge mode, drivers can continue to charge the battery while driving and generate electric-only miles to use later

Canadian pricing for PHEV (Plugin Hybrid) starts at $37,549 for the SE HyBrid,  $40,549 for the SEL, and $43,649 for the Titanium.   Destination and delivery adds $1,900.

2021 Ford Escape Hybrid & PHEV Technology Features

Other technology includes adaptive cruise control and a traffic-sign recognition feature join the optional Co-Pilot360 Plus package; a hands-free power liftgate and memory settings for the driver’s seat and exterior mirrors are now part of the Technology package; and a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a keyless-entry keypad, and LED exterior lighting are now on the list of features in the Convenience package.
