The standard model of the Ford F-150 Lightning is an All-Wheel Drive vehicle. For the Tesla Cybertruck, you’ll have to upgrade to a higher model for the same. The base model of the Cybertruck also tows less than a properly equipped base model of the F-150 Lightning. However, moving up the trim levels, you can find higher towing capacities on the Cybertruck.

Ford F-150 Lightning vs Tesla Cybertruck – availability and release date 

Thankfully, you won’t have to wait long for either truck to arrive. You can reserve your spot for either truck right now on their designated OEM websites. If you put in a reservation form for the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning, a team member will call you at the start of fall 2021 to confirm your order. Beginning in spring 2022, your trucks will start arriving. 

The Tesla Cybertruck is also available for purchase. From what we know, it will be available in a similar timeframe in Canada. The timeline might be affected by what model you choose.
