Rear-facing child seats are widely considered to be the safest option for infants. Installing one in the Ford F-150 is easy. Follow along with these steps to install your rear-facing seat.
As shown in the video, you can adjust the level of your child safety seat using the levers provided, which may differ by brand. If these are not provided, use a towel or blanket to keep the seat level.
The anchor points are located near the seat belt and seat belt holder, on either side of the lower portion of the seat.
For most car seats, you can do so by pulling on the strap until it is tight enough to prevent sliding. In our video, we recommend applying your weight to the seat to get it as firmly tightened as possible.
Double-check that it has clicked into place and won’t slide around.
