How to set up and connect to Wi-Fi on the Ford SYNC 3 infotainment system

When you live an on-the-go, busy lifestyle, the last thing you need to worry about is not having the time on the road to respond to those emails or complete online deals. That’s why new innovations on today’s Ford vehicles have turned them into mobile offices, complete with internet capabilities and plenty of convenient features to bring you closer to everything in your life, no matter where you are. Today, we’ll show you how to set up and connect to Wi-Fi on the Ford SYNC 3 infotainment system, so that you can see just how easy it is to open up your life even when you’re behind the wheel!

How to connect SYNC to FordPass Connect Wi-Fi

When you first connect your phone, tablet, or other device to the SYNC Connect Wi-Fi system, you’ll have a three-month free trial with which to use it. After that, be advised that you’ll need to set up an account to take advantage of Wi-Fi in your Ford vehicle. Check out the video below to see how you can connect!

Which 2019 Ford models have built-in Wi-Fi?

Under its SYNC Connect branding, the Ford line introduced built-in Wi-Fi for the 2018 model year to select models. This time around, in 2019, the following Ford models come with hotspots equipped inside:

  • Ford C-MAX
  • Ford EcoSport
  • Ford Edge
  • Ford Escape
  • Ford Expedition
  • Ford Explorer
  • Ford F-150
