At the end of October, the city council approved a large 15-metre aerial park to be built at Snow Valley in south Edmonton. It will be the first of its kind in Canada, drawing inspiration from like structions that are very popular in the U.S. and Germany. Here’s a little more information about what to expect from the aerial park and when it will be open for you to enjoy.

The new structure at Snow Valley is essentially going to be a huge 15-metre-tall outdoor obstacle course with a maze of zip lines, boardwalks, rope swings, high wires, and more. It is designed to accommodate 120 adults at a time, each one suspended in a safety harness.
Where? The new aerial park will be located in the tree line at the Snow Valley campground in south Edmonton.
When? After years of planning and the recent city council approval, workers will begin constructing the aerial park during spring 2017 with a projected opening date in mid-May.
Why? The purpose of the new Snow Valley aerial park is to give locals and visitors to Edmonton something else to enjoy during the summer months.
