New features and photos of the all-new 2020 Ford Escape

Ford has been working hard to cook up a fresh, stellar and re-imagined line of SUVs and trucks for the upcoming 2020 model year – what this means for you is that if you’re looking for a high-tech, better performing crossover, the Ford Escape is a clear-cut choice, as it has been since its initial release to the North American market in 2005. We’ve just gotten our first peek at the model, and there’s no denying that it’s an absolute beauty. Check out the new features and photos of the all-new 2020 Ford Escape with Sherwood Ford today!

2020 Ford Escape new performance features

Thanks to a 200-pound weight reduction (and, in turn, better aerodynamics) improved 8-speed automatic transmission, and four available engines, the 2020 Escape is set to be one of the most adrenaline-infused crossovers on the Canadian market. At its top end, it will bring a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine to the fold, which can produce 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque, as well as tow upwards of 3,500 pounds when properly configured.

We should also mention that the 2020 Escape will be available in a hybrid configuration as well – it will feature four EV driving modes (Auto EV, EV Now, EV Later and all-new EV Charge mode) that can tailor to your exact drive style. All in all, it promises to be an incredible achievement from Ford’s flagship crossover!

2020 Ford Escape new tech and connectivity innovations

Stepping inside, the 2020 Escape will bring some marvelous tech innovation to the fold. Opt for its available Titanium trim, and you’ll be treated to a Ford-first Head-Up Display, which can put all the specifics of your drive style, navigation, and speed right in your line of sight.

In terms of tech advancement, the 2020 Escape is no slouch either. It will feature SYNC®3 infotainment, a built-in FordPass™ Wi-Fi hotspot, and plenty of top-tier driver assistance features to keep you safe and sound on the road. Some of these include Active Park Assist 2.0; Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering; and Evasive Steering Assist.
