In terms of conventional towing—that is, without the 5th wheel or gooseneck hitch–the Ford F-150 Regular Cab is able to tow 12,200 pounds when equipped with a 3.5-litre GTDI V6 engine, 4×2 drivetrain, 141-inch wheelbase, 3.55 axle ratio, and 18-inch wheels. The Ford F-350 Super Duty offers a conventional towing capacity of 19,000 pounds when equipped with a 6.7-litre V8 Turbo Diesel engine and either 3.73 or 4.30 axle ratio.
