We’re quickly transitioning into the colder temperatures of winter now, and though that might be a welcome change for some but not all Edmonton drivers, the drop in Celsius means that you should be taking proactive measures to ensure that your vehicle is ready for the new, snowier climate. That’s why we’re offering our Ford Winter Performance Package at Sherwood Ford from now until November 30th. You might be wondering, “What is included in the Ford Winter Performance Package?” and we’ve got your answer today!
Especially when you’re driving in snow, sleet, or otherwise wetter and slicker conditions, you’ll want to make sure that your tires and rims are fully prepared to handle the elements. With the Ford Winter Performance Package, you’ll get winter tires, tire pressure sensors and new steel rims that can be outfitted on your vehicle. Not only will this help you to increase your traction on the pavement, but you’ll also see the life of your tires and original rims extended.
The following Ford models are eligible for a Winter Performance Package upgrade – best yet, you’ll be able to get yours for no extra charge!
From October 1 to December 2, 2019, we’re offering great specials on all new Ford vehicles that you buy on our lot. If you head on over to our dealership and buy a new Ford, we’ll add in a Winter Performance Package for it at no extra cost! This package will be available on all SUVs and CUVs (not including the Edge ST) as well as the new 2019 Fusion, Ranger and F-150. It’s never been a better time to get behind the wheel!
If you’re not interested in this, however, we’re also offering a Customer Cash Alternative that you can use to reduce the final purchase price of your model. What could be better than saving some cash on our favourite Ford models?
Obviously, you shouldn’t wait until freezing temperatures are imminent to pull the trigger and install winter-ready tires on your Ford model. A common rule of thumb here in Northern Alberta (and much of the rest of Canada by extension) is to come see us when the forecast calls for 7 degrees Celsius or lower. That way, your vehicle will be fully prepared for not only the dip in temperature, but the precipitation that usually accompanies it.
In layman’s terms, you should aim to get your fresh set of winter tires and rims as soon as possible – late October and early November are when the cold really starts to set in, so don’t delay!
It should go without saying, but winter and all-season tires aren’t interchangeable. When you’re faced with bad conditions, winter tires can retain their elasticity and longevity for up to twice as long as their all-season counterparts. That’s not even including the increased grip and control that winter tires can promise – we’ll work with you to find the right set for your drive style!
