Time sure is a flat circle, isn't it? Back in the latter half of the 20th century, the Ford Bronco model family was legendary in North America, giving drivers the chance to explore wherever they pleased, both on and off the pavement. The Bronco has been teased in recent decades, all to no avail – until now. Recently, the Bronco was announced for the 2020 model year, set to be reborn with a new, thought-provoking and adrenaline-inducing style. We've got all the information you need about it to get excited today!
Built to evoke the past glory of the Bronco's legend while also increasing its appeal for a new generation, we're expecting the 2020 Bronco to feature design cues that emulate existing Ford trucks such as the F-150 Raptor. This includes a redesigned grille, two-box body shape and full-size spare tire located on its rear tailgate. We're also preparing for a 2.3-litre turbocharged Inline 4 engine housed inside the Bronco's hood, which in line with current output will produce up to 310 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque.
Of course, the 2020 Bronco is also set to be highly capable of taking you on those off-road adventures. There's a good chance we'll be seeing a locking rear differential, off-road drive modes and all-wheel drive system all built in, which is good news whether you're looking to head off the beaten path or on the road, battling the elements.
Once we get closer to its anticipated market release, our Sherwood Ford team will be more than happy to provide all of you with updates ahead of its debut. In the meantime, be sure to contact us if you have any questions about this future market icon!
