Throughout the generations, pickups have only gotten stronger and stronger, both in terms of their build quality and the engines that they house. The Ford F-150 Raptor is a clear example of this evolution, sporting some of the most powerful drivetrains on today’s market in each of its trims. Because of this, we couldn’t be more excited to show you some of the rumoured features and specs of the Raptor for the 2020 model year – we think you’ll love it!
Though not much information has been leaked regarding the 2020 Raptor, multiple third-party sources have speculated that it may be getting the same engine that’s currently inside the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 – in plain talk, this means that the all-new “Super Raptor” (as it’s being called) could feature a supercharged 5.2-litre V8, with up to 760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque to spare.
Not much else is expected to change about the Raptor’s body style or other essentials, but its newfound strength is sure to help it go toe-to-toe with similar models being teased from the RAM truck family.
If its all-new engine and drivetrain is to be believed, there’s no denying that the 2020 Raptor will be a truck that you have to experience for yourself. Early estimates haven’t placed until late in 2020 or early on in 2021, so we’ll be sure to bring you more information as it comes out. Contact our sales team at Sherwood Ford if you have any further questions about the newer, stronger Raptor!
