By their very nature, Edmontonians are an adventurous lot, more at home off the beaten path than anywhere else. It’s this kind of intrepid nature that makes our area so hard-working and forward-thinking, which is why you need a top-tier pickup by your side that’s able to handle every journey you want to go on. With this, we want to introduce you to the all-new 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor, returned to Sherwood Ford now with all the coolest new innovations that solidify the “Built Ford Tough” mantra.
We don’t want to keep you waiting if you’re looking to see what the 2019 Raptor brings to the fold, so join our sales team today as we take you through what’s new, improved and stellar about this rough-and-tumble pickup icon; we think you’ll be impressed by what the Ford line has been cooking up for its off-roading crowd!
Reports state that the 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor will introduce a brand-new, 7.0-litre V8 engine under the hood, set to make the truck much more powerful and fuel-efficient than in years past. The power that this motor creates will be harnessed through a 10-speed automatic transmission and supplemented by Fox 3.0 Internal Bypass Shocks (with Live Valve Technology) that help to absorb bumps and increase your grip over any trail or terrain.
Few trucks of today are as instantly recognizable as the Raptor; in place of the blue oval on its front grille is a wide-angle “FORD” typeface, flanked by LED headlights and an athletic stance that evokes the kind of feelings that we all desire from our pickups. Inside, the Raptor will introduce Recaro sport seats for the first time, in addition to Alcantara inserts and unique stitching patterns to make your drive one-of-a-kind.
No discussion about the 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor is complete without mentioning its Trail Control technology, which acts as a cruise control when you’re driving off the pavement at low speeds. With this, the Raptor can handle your braking, throttling and torque output between 1-45 kilometres; this means that your only responsibility is to steer around (and over) obstacles!
Trail Control can also be used when you’re faced with a steep hill to climb or conquer. By directing torque to the appropriate wheels, your Raptor can dig through sand, dirt and over rocks to help you ease your way up and down more challenging parts of the trail.
This also means that if you should find yourself stuck in looser areas, Trail Control can apply more power to your drivetrain to get out and keep moving. Not only is this helpful for off-roading, but it’s essential for working your way through snowy conditions that we have grown to become accustomed to here in Edmonton.
We’re excited to see the 2019 F-150 Raptor introduced to the Canadian market arrive, so feel free to give our Sherwood Ford sales team a call. We’ve become well-versed in what the new Raptor can do, and we’re happy to help you with anything you’d like to know!
