What’s going on for St. Patrick’s Day in Edmonton?

2018 St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations in Edmonton AB

Census reports have placed the Irish population here in Alberta at almost 17 per cent, but on Saturday the whole province will be donning their best green attire and celebrating one of the hardest-working and celebratory ancestries known to the country. If you’re planning on gathering your friends and heading out for the day (and possibly getting into some shenanigans as well), check out some of the coolest 2018 St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations in Edmonton AB, courtesy of our Sherwood Ford team!

Shamrockin’ Shaker Pub Crawl

On St. Patrick’s Day, many local residents jump at the opportunity to see all the fun at some of the top Irish pubs in the area. This Saturday, you’ll have the chance to take one of six routes throughout Edmonton, with stops at favourite locations like Knoxville’s, Prive, Pint Whyte and more!

St. Patrick’s Day at The Provincial

The Provincial is a choice location for most of Edmonton’s South side, and on St. Patrick’s Day you’ll be treated to live music and a brunch until 2 pm. Better yet, if you want to bring the kids along, they’ll get free pancakes as long as they’re 12 years old or younger! It’s sure to be fun for all.

St. Patrick’s Day at Irish Club

Irish culture is strong at the Irish Club, and it will be hosting some awesome ways for you to get a piece of the heritage as well. Live music, Irish dancing, Hurling and Football Championships are all on tap, and tickets start at just $15!

The Real McKenzies

The Real McKenzies are a staple in the Celtic Punk scene, formed in Vancouver in 1992. They’ll be at Union Hall on March 16, supported by acts such as Raygun Cowboys, Fire Next Time and The Real Sickies. What could be better than live Irish music?

We hope you all have fun and stay safe this weekend. Don’t forget to check back to our local blog for more fun times throughout the year!
