About the 2019 Adopt-A-Pet-Athon event
Our pets are more than just dogs and cats – almost at first sight, they become part of the family, a trusted and loved part of your crew. That’s why we’re so proud to partner with Edmonton’s own Second Chance Animal Rescue throughout the month of April and help give all these good boys and girls a loving new home. Today we’ll be telling you all about the 2019 Adopt-A-Pet-Athon event at Sherwood Ford, as well as how you can aid adoption and animal rescue efforts all year long!
When is the Sherwood Ford Adopt-A-Pet-Athon?
You’re invited to join us at our dealership showroom (located at 2540 Broadmoor Boulevard in Sherwood Park) on April 27th from 1 pm to 4 pm for our Adopt-A-Pet-Athon event, jointly hosted with Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS). Over twenty dogs and cats will be hanging out in the showroom, and you’re free to adopt any one of them! Take note, though, that if you want to bring a new furry friend home with you that day, you’ll want to fill out beforehand an adoption application found on the SCARS website.

What’s better, our Adopt-A-Pet day will be filled with refreshments, snacks, and an outdoor barbecue if weather permits. It’s sure to be an event that the whole community will be geared up for!
We should also mention that representatives from Second Chance Animal Rescue Society will be at our dealership every Saturday throughout April, to answer any questions that you might have about adoption and donation programs. So, drop by when you get a chance and they’ll be sure to help you out!
Sherwood Ford Animal Relief donation efforts in April 2019
Of course, if you’d like to aid SCARS in its animal rescue efforts in other ways, you’re free to stop by our dealership throughout April and test drive any Ford model you like. For every test drive taken, we’ll donate $10 to SCARS. There will also be donation boxes throughout our dealership for you to drop your gifts off at – we encourage you to donate essentials like canned puppy and kitten food, toys, pee pads, or cash if you’re able to do so.

About Second Chance Animal Rescue Society
With locations in Edmonton and Athabasca, SCARS is one of northern Alberta’s leading animal rescue societies – in fact, since its inception it has re-homed over 10,000 incredible animals! They collect and rescue pets from various locations like pounds, vet clinics, and animals who have become strays or abandoned.
SCARS also helps to get animals back to full health by spaying and neutering, giving them vaccinations, and micro-chipping pets who have found a new home. We couldn’t be prouder to be able to partner with this wonderful organization, and we hope to see you come by and adopt a pet on April 27 from 1pm to 4pm!
