As we head into the holiday season, Sherwood Ford, a Ford dealership in Sherwood Park, is once again helping the Strathcona County Christmas Bureau this month by collecting donations and donating $10 for every test drive taken. Residents from Strathcona County, Edmonton, Sherwood Park and the surrounding area are encouraged to visit Sherwood Ford this month to support the cause by dropping off donations, taking a test drive, or both!
We’ve partnered with the Strathcona County Christmas Bureau once again to put this event on, so keep reading below to find out how you can help with our continued goal of spreading Christmas cheer to everyone!
Every year, the dealership makes a donation of its own and also collects donations from the public as part of the Sherwood Stuff-A-Giant-Truck Event. In previous years, the dealership has gathered gift cards, blankets, toiletries, baby care items, food, toys and books – and literally filled a giant truck with donations from the public. This year 2021, the Strathcona County Christmas Bureau and Sherwood Ford are asking community members not to donate toys or food, due to Covid restrictions. Instead, gift cards and monetary donations are encouraged.
Check back to our Community blog throughout the year to learn about our partnerships!
Anyone with a valid driver’s licence is invited to visit Sherwood Ford during the month of November for a no-pressure test drive. It’s a fun way to try out popular new or pre-owned vehicle like the Ford Bronco Sport, an F-150, Ford Mustang Mach-E and more while supporting this worthwhile cause. At the end of the month, the dealership will present the Strathcona County Christmas Bureau with a cheque equal to $10 for every test drive taken. You’re free to schedule a test drive at Sherwood Ford.
We’d like to thank each of you in advance for helping us give the residents of Strathcona County and surrounding areas a holiday that they will never forget. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone!
The Strathcona County Christmas Bureau is a registered non-profit organization. They are a registered charity that relies on volunteers’ time and effort along with donations from community members. Each year, they strive to provide the joy of Christmas to those in need. The goal this year 2021 is a total of $100,000 to use towards this purpose.
