Get Fresh Foods in Edmonton All Summer Long!

Best Farmer’s Markets in Edmonton AB

Summer mornings are some of our favourite times here in Edmonton; the sun is rising, birds are chirping, and the city streets are alive with plenty of awesome, healthy foods for you to get for the week ahead. We invite you to join us at some of the best Farmer’s Markets in Edmonton AB throughout summer – not only is fresh produce on the menu, but you can pick up some other awesome things as well. Check them out!

Old Strathcona Farmer’s Market

As Edmonton’s first all-indoor farmer’s market, Old Strathcona has quite a history that stretches back through the years. Nowadays, there are over 130 vendors and merchants that set up shop here, where you’ll find local produce, cool accessories, jewelry, new clothes, pottery and much more. They’re open every Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm, so be sure to stop by and get something great to take home!

Callingwood Farmers’ Market

West Edmonton’s Callingwood Shopping Centre is home to another top-tier farmer’s market, named accordingly. It’s here that you’ll find farm-raised meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, plants, woodworking tools, and some awesome unique items that you won’t see anywhere else. 80 per cent of its vendors offer locally-made goodies, and we can’t think of anything better than supporting the community while finding products that are great for life. It’s open, like Old Strathcona, from 8-3 on Saturdays – stop by!

Southwest Edmonton Farmers’ Market

From May to October, you’re welcome to come visit the Terwelligar neighbourhood and check out the wares of Edmonton’s best bakers, farmers and artisans. Southwest Edmonton Farmers’ Market has been in business since 2011, and while it’s relatively new in the grand scheme of things, it’s quickly become a favoured gathering place for many Edmontonians. Check it out every Wednesday from 4-7:30 pm!

Sherwood Park Farmers Market

There’s nothing better than getting a taste of the best right in our own backyard, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at Sherwood Park Farmers Market. Broadmoor Lake Park is host to a wide assortment of vendors every Wednesday from 4-8 pm, where you’ll find great local produce, awesome jewelry, handmade clothes, and even some crafts to bring home!

Salisbury Farmers Market

Farmers Market fun doesn’t have to end when the calendar shifts to fall and winter – that’s why Salisbury Farmers Market is one of our favourites. It’s open year round every Thursday, and gives you all the fresh foods and quality arts and crafts you need to turn your home into more of a home. Check it out!

St. Albert Farmers’ Market

Every Saturday between June 8 and October 12, head over to St. Albert for its Farmers Market, which is more of a community gathering than a simple exchanging of goods. All the typical Farmers Market fare can be found here, but we invite you to check them out on their Special Event Days, featuring plenty of awesome games and activities for the whole family to enjoy!
