Ladies and gentlemen of Alberta, it’s finally spring! If you and your friends are looking to explore nature, we’ve got just what you need; check out some of the best hiking and biking trails in Edmonton AB! 


Terwillegar Park 

Terwillegar Park is a crown jewel of Edmonton for just about every season. For spring, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, taking the dogs out for a walk, and much more! This 186-hectare landmark also offers public art displays and a canoe launch site, giving you so many opportunities to explore and get inspired.  

Emily Murphy Park 

Located on the North Saskatchewan River, Emily Murphy Park is home to plenty of trails for you to get your walking and cycling in. Plus, there are plenty of picnic sites and river viewpoints, making for quite the tranquil and serene experiences for you. There’s also a golf course and playground nearby, which is sure to give everyone in the family an awesome afternoon! 


Kinnaird Park 

Kinnaird Park is situated in the heart of Edmonton’s Central River Valley, making it a prime spot to get to walking, jogging or hiking. Over 160 kilometres of trails are built in this beautiful forested park, and you can’t beat the views of the Edmonton skyline as you’re enjoying your day! 

Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area 

If you need to get away from it all for a while, you don’t have to travel very far for some beautiful nature. Chickakoo Lake is only around 50 kilometres away from Edmonton and offers four short trails that circle around pristine water and ample amounts of wildlife. It’s awesome!
