Community event recap for November and December 2022

Food drive, toy drive, and Santa Claus visit recap

Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season, and we want to give a big shoutout to everyone in the community and everyone on the Sherwood Ford team who participated in our November and December 2022 community events. Whether you donated time or supplies to our food or toy drives or helped pull off our Santa Claus visits, you are appreciated! Over a thousand pounds of food were collected this year

in November, we partnered with Lakeland Ridge School to donate canned food to the Strathcona Food Bank. We’re happy to announce that a total of 1,212.5 pounds of food were collected and donated. There’s always a need for food donations in the community, and never more so than during the holiday season. To everyone who donated or volunteered your time and effort, thank you!

Along with this event, we held a drawing for one lucky Lakeland Ridge student to attend an Edmonton Oilers game on December 7th. The winner was Grade 3 student Regan, who got to watch as our Oilers crushed the Arizona Coyotes, 8-2!

There’s always a need for food. Click below to learn more about donating to the Strathcona Food Bank.

We stuffed a giant truck full of toys for families in need

Our annual Stuck A Giant Truck toy drive was a huge success. The box of our Ford F-150 truck was filled to the brim with toys donated by our dealership guests, customers, service patrons, and staff. These toys were then donated to the Strathcona Christmas Bureau to be given to families in need this Christmas.

We also had a Test Drive event to raise funds for the Strathcona Christmas Bureau. For every test drive taken at Sherwood Ford, we donated money to the Bureau. Thank you to anyone who brought a toy donation or took a test drive to fill our truck.

The Strathcona Christmas Bureau accepts donations year-round. You can click below to donate.

Santa Claus visited the kids of Edmonton Norwood Public School

Partnering with the Kinette Club of Edmonton and Beaner’s Fun Cuts for Kids in Sherwood Ford, we sent our very own Santa Claus to the salon to meet the lucky kids of Edmonton Norwood Public School. The kids got to meet Santa, get awesome makeovers, and eat some sweet treats. Being able to brighten these kids’ days is always one of the most rewarding parts of the year for our team!

We look forward to seeing you at our 2023 community events

We had an awesome year getting to know more of our community members and participating in our annual events. We hope you all were able to come out, but if not, there’s always next time. Happy New Year from the Sherwood Ford team!
