Family-friendly 2022 fall activities in the Edmonton Capital Region

What events and activities are going on near Edmonton this fall? 

There are so many opportunities to have fun in the fall. It’s a great season to be outdoors, there are a couple of holidays, and many great events are going on. Keep reading below to learn about four activities in the Edmonton area. Stop in at Sherwood Ford this fall when you need an oil change. 



Go on a ghost tour of Old Strathcona 

Edmonton Ghost Tours will take you on a ghost tour of Old Strathcona this fall. It’s a great event to get in the Halloween mood. Whether you like history or just want to be a little spooked, this could be a tour for you. 

Check out the coolest carved pumpkins at Pumpkins After Dark 

In Edmonton, there’s an annual Pumpkin After Dark event where you can view the carving of tons of pumpkins. Watching the experts carve is always worth a visit. Plus, there are demonstrations, music, and other activities to enjoy. This event takes place all October so be sure to visit.  

Harvest your own food at Creek Side Saskatoon Berry Farm 

Right here in Sherwood Park, we have Creek Side Saskatoon Berry Farm, a farm that allows you to pick and enjoy fresh produce. Basically, this place is one step more direct than a farmer’s market, so if you like buying local produce, you should check them out. They’re open in multiple seasons, but fall is always the best for harvesting crops. 

Pick up some plants at Green Thumb Kids 

Whether you’re a green thumb or you’ve never had a plant of your own, it could be fun to grow your own this fall. Stop in at Green Thumb Kids in Sherwood Park to pick up your fall plants.
