Canada Day is only two weeks away. If you don’t have plans yet, now is the time to make some. Below, you can learn about some of the celebrations going on in the nearby communities of Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, Devon, Leduc, and Beaumont. We’d love to see you here at Sherwood Ford for an oil change before the holiday.
The Canada Day 2022 parade will not be taking place. Anyone waiting eagerly for this annual event to come back has another year to wait. Hopefully, we’ll be able to get back to normal celebrations in 2023.
While certain events may be canceled this year, we are happy to hear that our annual Canada Day celebration at Broadmoor Lake Park is taking place. This event gives you an entire day’s worth of fun activities including live music at 9 PM and a firework show at 11 PM.
Fort Saskatchewan is putting on a big Canada Day celebration with activities, live entertainment, a parade, free public entertainment, food vendors, and fireworks. The Canada Day Farmer’s Market will run from 10 AM to 4 PM in the CN Station Parking Lot and features plants, art, clothing, and more. Kid-friendly activities include a rock wall, inflatables, and more, and all of them can be accessed with a $5 wristband.
From 12:30 PM to 3 PM, you can enjoy a community-wide celebration at Centennial Park in Devon. This celebration features live music by Brandon Lorenzo, roaming performances by Three Hat Circus, free food, crafts, and more.
Leduc citizens can celebrate all day, with planned community activities starting at 8:30 AM and ending after 11 PM. In the morning, there will be public swimming and a parade, while the evening features family activities and fireworks. Most events take place at the Leduc Recreation Centre, while the parade will be on Main Street.
We don’t know all the details of the Beaumont celebration at the time of this writing, but we do know that Beaumont will be hosting a free event on July 1 at Four Seasons Park. The event will offer live entertainment, kids’ crafts, beer gardens, and more. Fireworks are to be announced.
