Rainbow Society of Alberta continues to grant wishes for kids with life-threatening illness
Sometimes, life deals you a poor hand. Many children and families across Strathcona County deal with life-threatening or chronic illness and struggle to cope. If you’ve ever known a child or family or family who has had to deal with weekly doctor visits, medical quarantines, or chemotherapy, you know how difficult life can become.
The Rainbow Society of Alberta grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illness, so that they can experience being a normal kid, despite living in a world full of nurses, doctors, needles, pills and medical tubes.
Local sports radio station, TSN 1260, recently auctioned off their “Big Board” to benefit the Rainbow Society of Alberta. Sherwood Ford surprised the station with an even bigger board and matched the auction total from the Big Board, totaling $600.
