Organizer Mark Hamley rescued the event after reading about it’s possible demise. Sherwood Park made the Terry Fox run in previous years the 3rd largest in Alberta and Hamley hopes that local residents and businesses will rally together to revive the fundraiser.
Terry Fox Runs take place in over 9,000 communities across Canada every year and are accessible to anyone with no entry fee, no minimum pledge and a non-competitive atmosphere.
Sherwood Ford is a proud sponsor and challenges all Sherwood Park and Strathcona County businesses to donate to the charity with a matching $1000!
