Where to go camping around Edmonton, AB

Top three campgrounds near Sherwood Park and Edmonton, AB

Sherwood Ford is here to help you decide where to go camping around Edmonton, AB, this summer. Scroll down to view our top three campgrounds near Sherwood Park and Edmonton, AB. Before heading out, please stop by our dealership for an oil change, new wipers, or any other maintenance you’ve been putting off. We hope everyone has an amazing camping season and a fantastic drive.

Our first pick is our top choice for “glamping,” or “comfort camping,” as they call it. At Rainbow Valley Campground, you can rent one of three full-furnished domes to camp in a home away from home. If you’re a first-time camper, this might be more your comfort level. In addition, they offer close access to Snow Valley Aerial Park, giving them a unique attraction you won’t want to miss.

This second pick boasts an ideal location right on Joseph Lake, making it the perfect campground for anyone who prioritizes beautiful views and enjoying the great outdoors, which is what camping is all about. The Centennial Park Campground is your most traditional option, but it still offers a playground, volleyball area, horseshoe pits, and coin-operated showers.

Lindbrook Star Gazer Campground near Tofield, AB

Our third pick is Lindbrook Star Gazer Campground, and if you need a pool to have the best camping experience, Lindbrook should be your top choice. There are four trailers to rent for the night if you want extra amenities at your campsite. Otherwise, have a fire, take a swim, and drive over to some of the nearby things to see, including Tofield Golf Course and Beaverhill Bird Observatory.
